Wordless Wednesday; Four!

Looks harmless enough, right?

I am totally one to learn from my past mistakes.  I was not planning on doing another one of these things again for the rest of my life.  When Ben saw the gingerbread house that his friends built with their Grandma, he begged to be able to make one of his own, at our house. 

I caved.

Last year we used a different brand.  This year it would be different.  The roof would not slide off even if I had to use duct tape to keep it together.

Somewhere between getting the consistency of the icing correct and telling the boys to not touch "our" project approximately 5,247 times I realized that this was not really an activity intended for small children.

 Look! It's standing!!!!

Once the structure was secure enough to be decorated- I turned it over to Ben and Owen.

They are pretty proud of the finished project.
