The boys received colored bath tabs in their stockings from Santa. Ben loves to add them to the water and watch it change. The container comes with red, blue and yellow (by the way yellow is a very unfortunate choice for bath water.) Ben has learned that by adding yellow and blue...you get green. Tonight we made purple. Owen has a blast in the tub. It's so much fun to watch him laughing and splashing water everywhere.

Wednesday morning when Ben crawled into bed with me he whispered, "Mom-I forgot to brush my teeth last night!". I reassured him that it was OK and asked him to try to fall back to sleep. After a few short minutes he said, "Mom-my brother forgot to brush his teeth too!" I made the mistake of telling Ben that we need to brush our teeth so that they don't turn green. I guess that he took it to heart as he reminds me of this constantly. Aparently he felt bad that he forgot to remind Dad while I was at work and thought it necessary to come clean at 5 am.

Once their smiles are pearly white, it's story time. Owen loves the book
Are You Ticklish?. I received it for Ben's baby shower from my cousin, Diana, and it has been one of our favorites ever since. Owen is always so eager to turn the page to "tickle" the tummy of the animal inside.
Ben has been insisting lately that Daddy read him his bedtime story and he usually kicks me out of the room. I guess that this is his way of getting one on one time. When the story is over, I get to come back into the room to give him a hug, kiss and a high five, make sure that the closet door and the door to the bathroom are shut, turn on his night light and turn off the overhead light (in that order). I tell him that I love him and remind him of something fun that we will be doing the next day as an incentive to stay in bed.
Owen is not as high maintence as he just receives a hug and a kiss. I also pat his back a few times and say "sleep well angel, Mommy loves you"once I place him in the crib.
Sweet dreams boys...
