End of Summer Break

A couple of weekends ago I took the boys to spend the weekend with my parents.
Ben and Owen were thrilled to see Katie when we arrived and were excited to see that she is now walking.

Grandpa got the barrels out to take the kids out for a spin. It was Katie's first ride and it is safe to say that she enjoyed herself.

Grandma took us swimming in Olney on Friday then the boys went to "Play"(Clay) City to get night crawlers on Friday to go fishing with Grandpa when he got back from work.

By the time I walked down to the pond, Ben had already caught a couple of fish and Owen had one on the line. The pictures aren't clear at all. The lens fogged up from the heat then it got dark. It didn't ruin their fun, in fact, they didn't even know it was happening. They caught several more that evening and talked Grandpa into taking them again on Sunday before we left.

The next morning Ben and Owen were bursting with excitement because they knew that they would get to see Hannah and Wade. On Saturday, we headed to Ryan and Julie's to sing Happy Birthday to Wade. John and Emily were there too and it was so great to see the newlyweds.

My Aunt Doris and Uncle Darold were camping at Clinton Lake so we decided to surprise them by stopping by to say hello later that evening. They were expecting Ryan and Julie but I think they were stunned to see us. I have a lot of fond memories of camping with the two of them when Ryan and I were young. It was nice to see them with our kids at a campground.  It was a great weekend!
