We stayed home this year for Thanksgiving since Jeremy was on call Thursday. I made all the fixings for a wonderful meal for the four of us. Which was only eaten by two. Owen ate mashed potatoes and Ben once again ate a hot roll.
We took turns sharing what we were thankful for. Ben stuck to his original list, Layla and Owen, but then added Mom and Dad. He then went ahead and named all of our extended family members and friends. He is right. We have a lot to be thankful for.
I tried to get a picture of the boys for a Christmas card with no luck. They all ended up like this....
and this
I was able to get a good one of Ben for his birthday invitations.
I still have not gotten them in the mail-consider yourself officially invited!
While Jeremy put up the Christmas tree yesterday, I watched the boys run around the back yard barefoot with their friends. The weather has been fabulous so we put up the bouncy house to keep them out of the way.
A new holiday tradition was implemented last night as our Elf on the Shelf arrived mysteriously. After reading the story to Ben last night, he came to the realization that he would need to be sweet or our elf, that Ben named Shelfie, would report back to Santa. Ben decided that he did not want Shelfie in the house. Too much pressure for an almost four year old?
