Friday Fun

The boys had a great time at the CoCo Key Water Resort yesterday. One of our friends had buy one-get one day passes, so four us rounded up the seven kids and headed out, not really knowing what to expect when we arrived.
The inside water park has something for all ages, which was wonderful because the kids ranged in age from eleven to one. We spent most of the afternoon in the "you must be under 4 feet tall" section while the older kids raced down the bigger slides and did the agility course. I would have loved to get pictures of them, but I've heard that water and cameras don't always mesh.

Owen loved going down the slide and he's getting really brave in the water. His little life jacket keeps him afloat and he swims excellent in it. Now he is intentionally putting his face in the water while swimming.

Kaleigh and Ben were sweet holding hands while going down the slide and chasing each other around. These two play pretend ALL the time and in their world Kaleigh is a princess and Ben is her prince with super powers.

Ben seems to be a bit more skittish in the water lately. Even though it was less than 2 feet deep, he wouldn't get in without his ring. Swimming lessons are going to be on the agenda for this winter.

Side note on his pink ring: I bought the two remaining rings on the shelf last year at Wal-Mart, one was green the other pink. The green one had a blow out earlier this summer and he has since latched onto the pink one. I didn't think it was so bad until I realized that there were green frogs in pink tutus on it. Aunt Kelly tried to replace it with a more manly version, but he wanted nothing to do with it. I have prepared myself that Ben may hate these pictures when he is older.

Both boys fell asleep in the car before we made it home which is a sure sign that they had an excellent afternoon.
